The Dianense Juan Carlos Perez Nadal, second in Europe by sea kayak

August 20 from 2014 - 00: 01

The sailor of the Real Club Náutico Dénia, Juan Carlos Pérez Nadal, has won a silver medal in the European Ocean Racing Championships of surfskise held in Portugal.

Juan Carlos Pérez Nadal and Juan Moncho, were the paddlers responsible for representing the Dianense club against a high participation of Spanish paddlers and from different European countries.

From City of Dénia, Councilman own sports, Juan Carlos Signes, congratulated both paddlers. I also wanted to highlight the dedication of both athletes.

The effort of Juan Carlos Pérez Nadal was rewarded with a second place in the veterans category after making a career with very good technique. The gold went to Paco Calatayud (Santander).

Juan Moncho competed in the same category as his partner and won the eleventh place, the Dianense paddler was not so lucky tracing the coast forcing him back from a dam and several rocky ledges.

European level career developed from the beach of Esposende to Vila do Conde, a tour of 18 kilometers downwind from a wave meter and a half and two-meter wave.

Both paddlers agree that "It was a spectacular event in which the most important was hooked well the waves and above all to draw well on track".

A very technical course in which the strategy was very important and that led to Juan Carlos to be the second in Europe.
