The International Day of Mountains 2013 travels to Granada

Councilors Vicente Chelet and Pepa Sivera traveled this week to Granada to present the promotional video of the 2013 Mountain Day This year it features the Granada Juan ours.

The video tells the story of Juan, who managed to overcome his addiction to drugs and alcohol thanks to the motivation he found in the mountains of Sierra Nevada. The protagonist was present at the presentation of the video that tells how he managed to get away from cocaine and drink thanks to the motivation he found on the mountainside of Sierra Nevada. Since then, Juan El Nuestro has climbed several peaks of more than 6.000 meters in the Andes and prepares his first ascent to an "ochomil".

Sivera Chelet councilors and explained the functioning of the Mountain Day, which Dénia held annually with various activities and examples of mountain-related improvement. Sivera also added that this video will be an educational tool for "to show children a story of hope, of a life project, which shows that with effort and will you can get out of drugs."
