The Plenary of the Consell has authorized the creation of a public integrated center for Vocational Training (CIPFP) in Dénia. The decree creating this new educational center in the Marina Alta is a joint proposal from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport with the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor.

The creation of the CIPFP of Dénia is necessary to promote the training of the territory's citizens in Vocational Training teachings and of the professional families of Commerce and Marketing, Maritime Fishing and Hospitality and Tourism, since the area of influence of this center is a tourist area of reference in the Valencian territory.

The creation of this center responds to the need to structure the territory with a network of integrated public Vocational Training centers that serve all the socioeconomic areas in which it is structured.

The new CIPFP begins to operate at the Marina Alta Tourism Center (CdT) in Dénia with an initial composition of 10 groups of five FP degrees from the professional family of Hospitality, with a total of 270 school places.

As a result of the creation of this center, at the Maria Ibars Secondary Education Institute (IES) the Hospitality and Tourism teachings are extinguished, which are now taught at the new CIPFP.
