The Consell grants Dénia the right of first refusal and withdrawal for the purchase of homes
The second vice-president and minister of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, Héctor Illueca, and the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, have signed a collaboration agreement for the transfer by the Generalitat of the rights of first refusal and withdrawal of the homes they own located in this municipality. Some homes that will later be used for social rent to families with the greatest housing need.
El vicepresidente ha declarado que con esta visita «reforzamos una alianza con la corporación municipal» de un Ayuntamiento que en los últimos «ha demostrado su voluntad política de intervenir en materia de vivienda con políticas públicas ambiciosas al servicio de los intereses generales».
El vicepresidente Illueca ha destacado que con la firma de este convenio «el Ayuntamiento de Dénia se suma a la red de municipios y entidades municipales colaboradoras de la Generalitat» en materia de vivienda. «Una red cada vez mayor que está permitiéndonos ampliar el parque público atendiendo, con una mayor precisión, a las necesidades residenciales de cada municipio».
Asimismo, ha asegurado que el tanteo y retracto es una «herramienta innovadora que permite una intervención profunda de la administración en el mercado inmobiliario, que ha acreditado su eficacia y ha permitido ampliar el parte público».

En este sentido, ha añadido que «en los próximos meses daremos un nuevo salto cualitativo con las diferentes actuaciones que estamos articulando desde la Vicepresidencia para canalizar los fondos europeos hacia las entidades locales».

Por su parte, el alcalde de Dénia ha asegurado que este convenio es » un paso más y plenamente coherente con las políticas de vivienda municipales» y ha agradecido «esta posibilidad que se nos ha brindado para ampliar el parque público». Asimismo, ha considerado que «la apuesta valiente por la descentralización» que está realizando la Vicepresidencia «pondrá en marcha medidas de auténtica justicia social que ayuden a los colectivos más vulnerables a salir adelante».

Investment in the municipality
Subsequently, the vice president and the mayor have met to discuss and analyze the execution of the main projects that the Department carries out in the municipality and that amount to an investment of almost 400.000 euros. The general director of Housing and Urban Regeneration, Elena Azcárraga, also participated in the meeting.
In emergency aid for COVID-19, through the General Directorate of Housing Emergency Dénia has received 54.672 euros. While the General Directorate of Housing has allocated 120.000 euros to the acquisition of a property through a purchase tender.
En cuanto a la Xarxa Xaloc, el convenio con el Consistorio está dotado con 69.000 euros. A este respecto Héctor Illueca ha valorado como «muy positiva la puesta en marcha de la oficina Xaloc en Dénia que ha permitido atender a 565 personas desde su apertura en octubre de 2020». Además, ha recordado que fue uno de los primeros municipios de la Comunitat y el primero de la provincia de Alicante en que se puso en marcha la oficina Xaloc.

Performances in the Marina Alta
On the other hand, the vice president has also highlighted the actions launched in other municipalities of La Marina by the Department. Among them, the Pla Conviure stands out, which has allocated 3.000 euros to La Vall de la Gallinera and another 496.431 euros for the adaptation and remodeling of San Judas, Santa Ana and Alicante streets in Xaló. It is an action agreed with the neighborhood, since the proposal arose from a participatory process that the municipality carried out.
En total, el Plan Conviure ha destinado 502.432 euros en la comarca de la Marina Alta. El objetivo es la rehabilitación y adecuación de edificios del patrimonio municipal de carácter social, cultural o histórico, así como la adecuación de calles, plazas o zonas de esparcimiento o recreo, con la finalidad de mejorar las infraestructuras y equipamientos de una forma eficaz, rápida, eficiente y sostenible. Héctor Illueca ha declarado que cono estas ayudas «hacemos hincapié la democratización de las calles de la Marina Alta, en que los municipios y sus calles sean espacios para el encuentro, la convivencia y el desarrollo comunitario».

With all this, the owner of Housing has highlighted that the total investments in the Marina Alta add up to more than 900.000 euros and have been used to expand the public park and improve the conditions of the entire park built.
Así como fortalecer y rehabilitar los espacios comunes, porque «la ciudadanía de esta comarca tiene que tener garantizada la accesibilidad a la vivienda y los espacios públicos de sus municipios».
