The Center d'Art l'Estació hosts from today, Friday, the exhibition A look at the architecture of the Marina Alta, The Dianense architect José Luis Romany, a selection of more than 70 photographs plus drawings and blueprints on 10 houses, most of Denia, of which Romany offers a complete vision as an architect, as an ethnographer, as photographer plays with light.

The arches of riurau, the gate, the well, the oven, the terraces delimited margins stone, but also canvas entoldar in the attic, dried octopus, cat asleep on the chair, the cage on the wall . A unique repertoire of architectural details, an environment and a unique and rich rural life. Images of a lost time.

Plans and drawings were donated some time ago by José Luis Romany Dénia Municipal Archive. Following this exhibition, the original photographic exhibition, presented some years ago in Valencia, will, along with other photographs, the background Romany Municipal Archive.

José Luis Aranda Romany, architect, born in Dénia and Madrid resident wanted to systematize the architecture of the Marina Alta, aware of the ravages of time and, above all, men. In the 1970 and 1971 summer, drawing and photography houses that considered representative. Values ​​the use of the materials used, the construction techniques handed down from generation to generation, and performs a set of photographs and drawings of great value that go beyond the theoretical studies of architecture.
