Carnival moves to Baix la Mar for smaller and expanded with a party for teens
Not Dénia a city with a wide carnival tradition, but every year the festival reaches the smallest of the city. Saturday February 6, Carnival will Dénia with two new features: a change of location and organization of an evening party for teens, the sector forgotten at this event for several years.
The party councilor, Eva Ronda, explained that the change in location is due to her team's intention to move the party to all neighborhoods in the city, so that the party will be held each year in a different neighborhood. In this case, we have opted for the Plaza Mariana Pineda, in the Baix la Mar neighborhood, where the parade will end and the awards ceremony and children's party will take place.
The appointment will start the 17: 00 hours at the doors of the Red Cross building, where participants can collect their participation numbers. At the 17: 30 hours will begin the parade, which will cross the Esplanade Cervantes to the Plaza de San Antonio, Les Barques street, Bitibau and finally Mariana Pineda, where the 18 fancy dress contest is scheduled to begin: 30 hours.
The festival committee will distribute chocolate and snacks for all attendees, and three prizes will be awarded by category: Mini (Up to four years), Kids (5 to 12 of years), couples (Regardless of age), and comparsa (More than three presonas and no age limit). Winners will receive prizes donated by various local companies that have collaborated in the celebration of Carnival.
Carnival party for teens
This year the Carnival party will expand the age range with a party for teenagers that will be held in the Multipurpose Hall of Llunàtics for boys and girls from 12 to 18 years old. The councilor for youth, Cristina Morera, reported that the doors of the room will open at 22:00 p.m. and there will be music, lights and animation, with dances hip hop y break dance.
The partygoers who come in costume will receive free refreshments and have access to a range of Llunàtics Cafeteria where they can dine a burger and fries for 2 euros.
