The Bloc will recreate the entry of Basset in Dénia in the "XXVI Aplec de la Marina"

The Regiment of the Mare de Deu dels Desemparats Joan Baptista Basset escort at its entrance to Denia, as happened in 1705, 17 next November. No, we have not traveled to the past. This is the historical recreation organized the Bloc to celebrate its XXVI Aplec de la Marina, which is usually done in the Castilo and this year we add this recreation through the streets of Dénia.

Josep Femenia, from the Els Micalets del Regne de València Association, explained that they will be in charge of recreating this historical moment, on a route that will start from the Glorieta to the Town Hall Square and end at the Dénia Castle.

In the 11 morning, the regiment will go on parade from the Glorieta Diana down the street to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento accompanied by period music which await the arrival of Basset. There they receive the Archduke Charles of Austria and celebrate his proclamation as king. And it is that Denia was the first city of the Kingdom of Valencia to swear allegiance to King Carlos III.

After parliaments and DANSA In honor of Archduke Carlos, the entourage will move to the castle of Dénia, where the act of the Aplec de la Marina will be held. There, three women will take the floor: Inma Hernández, from Ràfol d'Almúnia; Concha del Ruste, from Pego, and Eva Buigues, from Benitatxell.
