Manuel Gallego's 'Itaka IX' boat was the winner of the Canal Cup at ORC

The boat calpina of the "Itaka IX"Of the owner Manuel Gallego was the winner of the Spanish Cup, because it was the fastest of the fleet in the XX Copa del Canal. A test that was organized by the Real Club Náutico Dénia and Club Náutic San Antonio, scoring for the Copa de España de Altura Mediterranean Zone for cruises ORC.

A total of 29 Cruiser-type boats participated in this regatta which has become a tradition for tall sailors. The fleet left from the port of Dénia at 11 hours with a northwestern wind of 10 knots of intensity, heading for the Pitiusas islands. The good conditions of the crossing allowed the first boats to reach the Ibizan coast before midnight from Saturday to Sunday, being one of the fastest editions.

The trophies were handed out on Sunday at 14 hours at the Nautic San Antoni de Portimany Club facilities.
