The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the councilors of Economic Services, Paco Roselló, and of the Interior, Javier Scotto, have held a meeting today with representatives and associates of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma) to inform them and ask their opinion on the latest municipal measures to help the sector: discounts on garbage collection fees and occupation of public roads.

The latter, as decided yesterday in the interdepartmental commission for monitoring the crisis of COVID-19, can reach 100%, provided that compliance with the ordinance and with security and distancing measures is guaranteed. The government team has made a commitment to give an audience to the sector before the approval of the regulation that will regulate the granting of aid.

On the other hand, at the request of some of the interested parties, formulas will be sought to make the payment of fees more flexible, in parallel with the processing of aid.

It has also been agreed to enable the postponement and a payment plan of the debt of the previous year, since the indebtedness, right now, prevents the municipal authorization of the expansion of the space occupied on public roads to comply with the required distance.
