January 11 from 2013 - 00: 00

The city council of Dénia has not renewed the annual agreement it maintains with the Red Cross for 2013. According to the councilor of the treasury, Vicente Chelet, they are currently renegotiating the points to extend it by department and not globally.

This agreement was born with the objective of the NGO covering the needs that the council could not, providing services at parties, the parade of kings or during CD Dénia matches for an amount of 98.665 euros. The city council is currently studying the possibility of excluding some services that it can take charge of.

The socialist spokesperson, Vicent Grimalt, denounced that "The lack of planning by the Government Team at the time of negotiating a new agreement has meant that it has ended and today the provision of services such as home telecare or the driving service for the Day Center between others" and he asked the mayor "pay off the debt they have with this entity and solve as soon as possible the services that could cease to be rendered after the agreement has been finalized."
