The lecture series Dénia at War ended last Friday 28 October with good news for lovers of local history. The Department of Culture of the City Council of Dénia, directed by Rafa Carrió, announced that it will reprint, in facsimile, the book by historian Emilio Oliver for next year.
The news was announced in the course of the tribute to the historian that was held as a closing to the cycle of conferences. During the event participated the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the son of the honoree, Emilio Oliver Momparler, the councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió, the director of the Archaeological Museum of Dénia, Josep Antoni Gisbert, and Antonio Ortega, personal friend of the historian.
Also participated, reading passages from the work The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939. Lived from the rear of a republican cityNicolás Merle, familiar Dianense historian; Vicente Larios, a member of the Association of Veterans Reservists Dénia, and Angel Nieves Pamies Ocon and two individuals who have attended every cycle activities Dénia war and they were invited to participate in the closing ceremony.
