The Dénia City Council has agreed this morning, in an extraordinary plenary session, the provisional approval of the tax ordinance regulating the tax on the increase in the value of urban land, with the votes in favor of the PSPV and Compromís, the abstention of Gent of Dénia and the vote against the PP and Ciudadanos. The tax ordinance has been modified, as explained by the Councilor for Finance, Paco Roselló, to adapt it to the new state regulations, modified to November 2021.
Roselló explained that the main updates lie in an increase in the tax rate for transactions produced between 0 and 5 years of property ownership, since they are considered speculative. In these cases, the tax is set at 30%. For transactions with goods from 6 to 20 years or more, the tax is 28%.
The second issue highlighted by the councilor is that the City Council will apply a discount of 95% of the full share of capital gains tax in cases where the property that is transferred is the habitual residence.
