Art as an antidote to overcome anxiety and fear

The hospital of Dénia offers these days in the CuidArt room the exhibition Painting and Anxiety, a sample of the artist who won the prize convened by the DKV Chair Art & Health of the UPV, Marina Iglesias.

Through their works, which can be seen in the hospital until September 20, the artist captures the emotions and feelings that cause anxiety disorders in humans. In this way builds a series of scenes in which many of the fears and concerns that populate our daily lives are presented.

Project Director for Hospital Art Denia, Alicia Ventura, "Giving a form and a name to these fears is a first step to face them, and it is in this way that painting and art accompany us and reveal all their therapeutic capacity."

At the opening of the exhibition were present the Manager of the Department of Health of Dénia, Ángel Giménez; the director of the DKV Art and Health Chair of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Teresa Cháfer and the co-owner of the xabiera firm Odone Interiorismo,
