Today 20 June day collection of food and basic necessities

Nourish your solidarity is the name of the campaign that the Bureau of Solidarity, composed of the City Council of Dénia, the association Stretch out your hand-Evangélica Bautista, Caritas Interparroquial, the Salvation Army and Denia Red Cross launches next 20 June in Dénia.

Throughout the day, the hours of 9.30 to 14 pm in the Social Center of Denia, volunteers of all entities collect the volunteers who want to contribute donations, and made available to collaborators tiques of 1 euro to contribute to the buying fresh food with proceeds then go to soup kitchens.

The day was presented in the town hall by the mayor, Ana Kringe, the coordinator of Cáritas Interparroquial, Julio López, the representative of the Extiende tu mano association, Antonio Calero, the directing officer of the Dénia corps of the Salvation Army, Santiago Carreño and Red Cross volunteer Gerardo Puerta. They all agreed on the worrying increase in people who need help.

The City Council has sent a letter to the associations d ela city to encourage them to work during the day, and has attached them a list of the priority products: oil (sunflower and olive oil); sugar; packaged cooked vegetables and pulses; biscuits; soluble chocolate; coffee; cereals; baby cereals; flour; milk; then milk for babies; preserves (fried and crushed tomato, corn, tuna); vacuum packed sausages; quesitos in portions; pasta; rice; soups and mashed potatoes on; diapers; personal hygiene products (shampoo, toothpaste, compresses, gel) and cleaning products (laundry detergent, dish soap, scrubbing).
