Start in Dénia the proudest bus of love "colored"

28 June 2017 - 11: 30

Denia has once again surprised at the actions of the Day of Sexual Diversity. If last year was the crosswalk painted by rainbow for equality, this year a bus will visit Denia, La Xara and Jesus Pobre to give visibility and support to the LGTBI collective.

The bus Proud Of Love Will travel today Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10: 00 to 12: 00 and 19: 00 to 21: 00 hours the streets of Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre. Along the route will be made different stops to distribute among the citizens the 400 backpacks that have been prepared for this campaign. From the City Hall encourage the neighbors who meet the bus to take photos and upload them to social networks as a sign of support to the collective LGTBI and equality.

This action has been carried out jointly by the councils of Equality and Mobility. As explained by the Councilor for Equality, Elisabet Cardona, this action is carried out with the aim of defending the rights of people, regardless of their sexual status.

Javier Scotto, for his part, highlighted that, although legislative advances on equality have been important, the data on hate crimes in the province of Alicante in 2016 indicate an increase of 36% according to the Ministry of the Interior. That is why it is intended that "Dénia be a city proud of love" because "love in Dénia has to be free and proud", "with freedom and without prejudice".

From the City Hall has been grateful for the collaboration of the bus company Denibus, Who has agreed to screen one of his vehicles during these days. From the company they have affirmed that they do not rule out that the design is maintained beyond this weekend.
