Two beaches of Denia are released as points of environmental information

August 08 from 2016 - 15: 47

The Environment Department of the Dénia City Council has completed the installation of two wooden huts that will serve as environmental information points for residents and visitors until the end of September. The beaches chosen to host these wooden huts have been Bassetes and Marineta Cassiana, which already have a new look.

The objective of these information booths is to offer interested parties informative material on the Montgó Natural Park, the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve and the environmental routes offered by the council led by Josep Crespo. They are expected to start providing service this Wednesday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 13:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The two booths will be attended by qualified personnel in environmental sciences, which also serves, according to Crespo, "to favor the occupation of young people from Dénia who have finished their university studies."

Parallel to these informative actions, the Department of the Environment has scheduled free guided tours on foot along the coast of Les Rotes, to the Torre del Gerro; and along the wooden walkway that connects Les Bassetes with Albaranas beach, crossing the dune landscape. The first departures will take place on Friday, August 12 at 9 in the morning, and those interested can register at the information points or by sending an email to deniaviva@ayto-denia.es.
