Two more years of detention the accused of beheading his partner in Dénia

The Court of Alicante has agreed to extend by two years the detention of the accused of beheading his neck to his partner while sleeping in Dénia, Francisco José NG At a hearing Monday, the prosecution asked to continue jailed for two years, a measure which he is not expressly opposed his defense counsel.

The defendant meet next May two years in custody, a situation that can be extended up to four years. The trial for the crime of domestic violence, which killed Gemma Martín, is scheduled for the first week of June and will be held before a jury. The prosecutor asks for him 21 year sentence.

The events date back to May 2015 when the now imprisoned slaughtered his partner in his sleep at his home in the Avenida de Gandia. Despite the existence of a restraining order by a previous episode of abuse, the victim had agreed to resume cohabitation sporadically.

In the early morning of the 14 of May of 2015, the defendant allegedly nailed the victim a knife in the neck, taking advantage of that she was asleep "to avoid any defensive action", says the public prosecutor. After this attack, Gemma passed away practically in the act, leaving a daughter fruit of its relation with its presumed assassin. Francisco José NG called the 091 to confess to being the perpetrator of the crime.
