Special device to access the cemetery in Dénia

28 October 2014 - 14: 35

The Department of Public Safety and Mobility of the City Council of Dénia has designed a special operation on the occasion of the feast of Tots Sants in order to ensure a smooth and safe access to the cemetery both vehicles and the hundreds of people who go on foot for Friday October 31 and 1 and 2 November days.

During those days, the operation will be active from 8 in the morning until the closing time of the cemetery (18.30 hours), there will be police presence (2 agents per shift in the morning and afternoon, in total 12 agents assigned to this service) and traffic cuts in the accesses to the cemetery and surroundings.

The Camí del Cementeri will be enabled only in the direction of Dénia-La Xara. Consequently, the streets perpendicular to this road will not allow left turns and will be cut at the height of the light transformer, next to the Madrigueres municipal sports courts. For greater safety of pedestrians, the Hermanos Carmelitas street that connects with Torrecremada will also be cut.

It is recalled that the public parking areas available are the rear parking of the cemetery (approximately 70 places) and parking area cord is in the front access to the cemetery (with places near 20).

The Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier Ygarza, wants to appeal to all the people who are going to visit the cemetery these days to collaborate with the Local Police for the benefit of all.
