With the arrival of the megayachts to the port of Dénia, the Socialist Party has denounced that "The port of Dénia has gone from being an open, public space, connected to the city to be a closed and private enclosure for berthing of large-scale yachts that gives a negative tourist image to one of the main tourist icons of the city ".

His spokesman, Vicent Grimalt, placed special emphasis on the built wall, which can prevent the flow of rainwater into the sea, which could cause floods. He also denounced that now the port has become a private parking lot for the cars of the yacht crew or garbage containers. Furthermore, according to Grimalt, since this new area was built, docking maneuvers for fishing boats are becoming more difficult.

Grimalt demanded that the mayor and Pepa Font ask the Ministry for a Port Use Plan "Before continuing to make patches without any benefit to the city."

The project of the Market

The Socialist Group in the city of Dénia revealed that the council has awarded the drafting of work "to an external architect linked to the PP with a cost of about 60.000 euros, while two architects and an internship architect who could have written the project at home work in the town planning department."
