The Museum of the Sea is located in an old port warehouse, from the first third of the XNUMXth century, which was seriously affected by the bombings of the Civil War and was converted into a fish market. At all times and in all historical periods there is an indissoluble link between Dénia and the sea and its port, and that is where this exhibition wants to influence.
The visitor will observe numerous archaeological remains of underwater origin and will contemplate objects related to fishing and navigation. The photographic collection from the first third of the XNUMXth century and the set of models by the naval modeler Antonio Simó Ayza are noteworthy.
