A priority for 2020, for the Councilor for the development of the Montgó sewer, Mario Vidal, is that at least 300 homes have this area of Dénia, connection to the sewer system, of the 5.000 pending. For this, work is already underway, as indicated by the mayor, in the project of connections to the main branches.
According to Vidal, "Of the 307 letters that were sent notifying that they should do the job, only 12 have done so, so we have a lot of work ahead of us". The mayor said that the cost of this action was high, "So not everyone could carry it out".
Mario Vidal said that with the new project, after meeting with Aqualia after Christmas, "The work will be carried out by the City Council and the user will make a special contribution. Of the total cost, the session will contribute 10%, which will mean less expense for residents."
The councilor said that although he is working hard to make it a reality he does not believe that work can begin before July. Likewise, the study also contemplates the installation of tasks in secondary sections for the future.
Vidal stressed that if it goes well, the connection study will be taken in the Les Marines area.
