The City of Dénia has joined this Friday to the Code of Good Government of the Generalitat Valenciana, which commits municipalities to make a more transparent management and good governance to fulfill their responsibility towards citizenship.

The Minister of Transparency, Social Responsibility, Participation and Cooperation, Manuel Alcaraz, presided over this act, whose signature supposes "a brake on abuses of power and an instrument to supervise the actions of public representatives". The conseller has stressed that if the consistories comply with these agreements and be integrated into the day to day, "relations with citizens would be kinder, calmer and based on trust and respect".

El Good Government Code It combines rules of a clearly juridical nature with criteria of conduct, democratic values and ethical principles such as integrity, sobriety, exemplariness, responsibility and cooperation, raising them to mandatory compliance by senior officials of the Council and the public and instrumental sectors of all and all who voluntarily adhere to it.
