Dénia surrenders to Marina and Alejandra in his farewell as Senior Falleras 2016

Tears, smiles and a lot of complicity we could see on stage in the farewell act of Marina Margalejo and Alejandra Pastor as older falleras of Dénia 2016, an act that closes a new chapter of the fallas of Dénia of which these two young people have been the absolute protagonists.

Marina and Alejandra arrived in the official car at the Social Center, where they were welcomed by the mayor of the city, Vicent Grimalt; the party councilor, Eva Ronda, and the president of the Fallera Local Board, José Antonio Monsonís. The charges of the failures of Dénia in 2016 and 2017 and the components of their courts of honor awaited their arrival with balloons, widely applauded by all of them.

Noelia Canadas, secretary of the Local Board Fallera, was responsible for driving the farewell ceremony of the Fallas over Dénia, which began with the president getting on stage to the components of the courts of honor and the stars of the night, they came to the tune of Marqués del Turia accompanied by the mayor of the city.

The first surprise for Marina and Alexandra came in the form of video, made by their courts of honor in which recalled the best moments at his side and ended with all of them throwing a wish: "Don't be sad, you have made history".

As is usual in this event, the major falleras of Dénia received the visit of the 2016 and 2017 charges of the eleven falleras commissions of the city. The outgoing officials, who have lived with them intensely this year, gave them the lyrics of the song "Mother Earth" by Chayanne, which they gradually built with messages that they placed on a wooden structure. At the end, they were given portraits made up of thousands of souvenir photos from this year.

The older falleras of Baix la Mar 2016, Mar Cabrera and Laura Casado, were in charge of speaking on behalf of Alejandra's commission, highlighting of the two that they are brave and seafaring women, and that they await each one with open arms on your commission. Marina, meanwhile, told all that excited for it has made this year memorable moments and above all full of people, who thanked his complicity and understanding at all times. But the most loving words were to Alejandra, who said "It's the best thing that's happened to me this year".
