The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, the Councilor for Culture, Raúl García de la Reina, and the director of the Xara school, Maria Francisca Ginestar, have welcomed 18 representatives of international schools from the 'Stop-take a breath' project -observe-proceed' (to-breathe-observe-act) within the Erasmus + Ka227 program in the plenary room of the Dénia City Hall.

The teachers arrived on Monday, November 21, and will return to their centers on Friday, November 25. This is a visit to get to know the centers within the program, to see the teaching models and to approach the cultures of the five countries. The philosophy of the project is mindfulness, that is, a type of teaching that focuses attention on emotions, relaxation and the creation of a positive and calm atmosphere. Among the complementary activities to the educational program, the art therapy proposals and practices such as yoga or 'the traffic light of emotions' to promote respect and the peaceful resolution of conflicts stand out. The Xara school, a center attached to this European student exchange program, has already visited centers in Turkey, Wales and Estonia, and will be invited to visit the other schools in the future. The City Council has thanked the visit to each school with a glass plate as a souvenir of their time in the city.

The representatives visited the Dénia castle yesterday, and today, after the act, they were able to visit the port and the box.
