Dénia wants to recover the local garden through the 'Arrels Agràries' program

The increase, promotion and training in organic farming, the recovery and dissemination of traditional native seeds, support for new producers and the recovery of the garden are part of the strategic objectives of the Strategy for Agricultural and Territorial Dynamization 2017/2020 of the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture, and are also included in the Local Action Plan «Dénia & Marina Alta #Tastinglife», the basis of the initiative Dénia-UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
 
In this line, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture organizes two presentations open next week:
 
On one hand, the Monday July 24, at the 19.30 hours, at the Casa de la Cultura of Dénia, the presentation of the I Valencian Plan of Ecological Production and the Plan of the Diversity Agraria, With the intervention of Josep Roselló, head of Technology, Projects and Resources Section of the Ecological Production, Innovation and Technology Service of the Generalitat Valenciana.
 
In addition, on Friday 28 of July, at 19.30 hours, also in the House of Culture, will be presented the Local Orchard Recovery Program, Land Bank. A few weeks ago, the City of Denia approved the regulatory basis for the creation and operation of the agricultural land bank. It is an initiative that will allow "recover agricultural area, facilitate access to land for more producers and support for current producers who for different reasons do not get to work all the land they have, also involving an increase in local produce, in greater quantity and more variety".
