Dénia wants to spread the traditional fishing through a conference

Dénia, peix i sea It is the name chosen for a conference that, even without a date of celebration, will take place in the regional capital to spread the art of traditional fishing among citizens and tourists.

Last week a meeting took place between the mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, the fisheries councilor, Sisco Signes, the secretary of the Fishermen's Association, Miguel Dalmau, the president of Aehtma, Cristina Sellés, and technical staff from the departments of tourism and fishing, to specify the steps to follow to carry out the conference.

According forward Councilman Sisco Signes, these days are born with the aim of spreading the fisheries sector of the city, revealing both its great tradition as work at sea, the marketing of catches, the boats that make up the fleet and traditional fishing gear used.

There are already planned several activities among which are an exhibition on fishing gear, a guided tour inside the fish market, visits to different boats, children's workshops and a space for the marine reserve of Cabo de San Antonio . In addition, the Oceanogràfic will participate with an information stand on species recovery activities and environmental awareness activities carried out.
