The Fallera Local Board of Dénia attended last week the General Assembly of Local Boards that was held in the Valencian town of Alaquàs. The first vice president, Jaume Bertomeu, traveled there; the secretary, Salva Llorens; and the biggest faller of Dénia, Melani Ivars.
After the reception of the guests by the mayor of Alaquàs, and also by the president of the JLF, July Roselló, accompanied by the largest faller of the population, Paula Mengod, the guests enjoyed a guided tour of the Castell.
In addition to the celebration of the assembly, the major falleras of the attending municipalities exchanged details with the host of the event, Alaquàs's main faller.
Alaquàs has been the chosen town for being celebrating the centenary of the protection of its Castell, which at 1918 was declared a national historical-artistic monument.
