The City Council of Dénia has installed, on four beaches in the municipality, six information panels on the plover plover and the oceanic posidonia. With these banners, located on the beaches of Raset, Molins, Albaranes and Deveses, the town hall aims to spread the importance of protecting and caring for both species.
The oceanic posidonia is essential for the preservation of Mediterranean ecosystems and our beaches. In addition, the large meadows that form on the seabed provide oxygenation to the water and habitat for several marine species.
With regard to the plover plover, a small bird that inhabits coastal aquatic ecosystems. The situation of this species is quite fragile due to the strong pressure that supports its restricted reproduction habitat, mainly dune environments and beaches, that is why the City Council of Dénia has promoted this information so that tourists and bathers preserve these riches environmental.
