Dénia seeks a new location for the Tenor Cortis conservatory after almost 20 years in a provisional location
The mayor, Vicent Grimalt, has met this week with the general director of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education, Manuel Gomicia, to discuss the restructuring of training in hospitality and tourism that is currently offered at the IES Maria Ibars of Dénia, following the request of the center for the incorporation of three new training cycles: Kitchen Management, Higher Automotive Cycle and the medium cycle of Maintenance of Leisure Vessels.
They also discussed the possibilities of financing a new building for the "Tenor Cortis" conservatory, provisionally located on Temple Sant Telm Street, in the former courthouse building. Regarding this issue, Gomicia, who visited with the mayor the current facilities of the conservatory, urged the City Council of Dénia to formally ask the Department of Education to build a new center and that the action be included in the Building Plan.
