27 2016 April - 17: 00

The mayor of Dénia and councilor for tourism, Vicent Grimalt, took advantage of the last plenary session of the MACMA (Cultural Association of the Marina Alta) that was held on Monday April 25 in Ondara to present the representatives of the municipalities the project Dénia & Marina Alta Tasting Life which it has earned recognition Creative City of Gastronomy by the UNESCO.

The goal was simply to gather support and add followers to this project that has regional vocation. That is why Grimalt stated in Parliament that the MACMA "It is the ideal platform to expose to mayors and councilors the formulas of collaboration and participation for the development of an open strategy in which they will work over four years".

The coordinator of the project, Flore Terrades, presented the work plan to the plenary and stated that "The idea goes through the dialogue and contact of all the assets related to the world of gastronomy, from the agri-food sector to the hospitality industry, and above all by the stipulation of an agenda of meetings that allow to know the richness of the gastronomic heritage and opinions and perspectives of each municipality in this regard ".

In this sense, both Terrades and Grimalt reiterated that this Action Plan contemplates the search
of formulas and synergies both joint and consensual to enhance and project the region
as a gastronomic destination of excellence.
