February 18 from 2013 - 00: 00

On Friday the extraordinary plenary session of Dénia approved the 2013 budgets with the votes in favor of PP, CU and CDL, some budgets "austere" amounting to 47.180.959'64 euros, an 14% less than the 2012 accounts.

The CDL councilor, Mari Martínez, voted in favor but warned that her party will be very vigilant that the accounts are met and that the social welfare section is the most favored of the document.

The BLOC spokesman, Josep Crespo, for his part, and as he announced a few days ago, did not support the budgets. According to Crespo, these budgets are not austere from the moment in which they do not cut in personnel expenses, because they do not cut in salaries, protocol or positions of trust. He also denounces that they only drown the citizen with increases in rates and taxes and regrets that the department of linguistic normalization does not receive a single euro in the document.

Nationalist councilor bid to reduce at least one 10 150.000% of euros that are destined for diets cabinet mayor and councilors government and budget 15.000 euros last year went to linguistic normalization is maintained.

For the Socialist group these budgets are "more of the same": "Clear tax collection effort, no savings measures, they continue to spend on parties and saraos for the mayor to take pictures, they hide the remnants for the redevelopment of les Roques in a drawer and the little they do is to continue losing subsidies so necessary to carry out public works in Dénia ". This was denounced by councilor Cristina Morera, so they did not support the document.

Morera regretted that the government team did not want to approve in plenary session the document of commitments for the improvement of municipal management presented by his municipal group, although the finance councilor, Vicente Chelet, confirmed that all the points that they propose will be fulfilled.
