Dénia approves to buy the ship of the municipal crane

The City of Dénia held an extraordinary plenary session this Friday morning with a single point on the agenda: the approval of a modification of credits worth 1.844.000 euros.

This modification has several objectives, as explained by the councilor of finance, Paco Roselló. One of them is the purchase of the ship in which the vehicles removed by the municipal crane are deposited, for which a rent is currently paid. A purchase that amounts to 960.000 euros.

Another objective is to finance the new athletics track of the Municipal Sports Center, a project much in demand by users due to the poor condition in which the runway is currently located, of free use. This action will have a cost of 750.000 euros that are included in this modification.

To these amounts must be added the 111.000 euros to be allocated to the annual agreement with the Local Board Fallera de Dénia, in addition to 23.000 euros to be allocated to different projects on public roads.

To cope with this modification, a loan of 1'6 million euros will be requested. The remaining 134.000 euros are a change of expenses in the budget.

The point has gone ahead with the votes in favor of the government team, formed by PSPV and Compromís; the vote against the PP and the abstention of Julio Palacios; Citizens and GDCU.
