'Delicias de Dénia al plato', from the Bocafí restaurant, wins first prize in the XII Tapas Route

Delicacies from Dénia to the plate has been the top valued by the public that participated in the XII Tapas Route, which was held last March at 40 restaurants in the city. The proposed Bocafí Restaurant was a red shrimp croquette from Dénia with raisin sauce from Marina Alta and Pedro Ximénez reduction accompanied by red shrimp from Dénia.

Thanks to this first prize, those responsible for the establishment have been presented by courtesy of the Mena restaurant with a tasting lunch or dinner and with a trip to Ibiza for two people, a gift from the Association of Merchants and Businessmen of Dénia (ACE).

The second prize of the XII Tapas Route has been for the Sirloin braised with caramelized onion and walnut with carbabe cheese and truffled parmentier of violet potato prepared by the restaurant Amigourmet, who have taken a commemorative plaque and a wooden selection box with two bottles of vintage Vermell and a diploma of vermuterCourtesy of Vermell Vermouth Vintage.

The prize for the best tapa made with native product, awarded by the Department of Tourism of Dénia, has been for the restaurant Mr. Fisher for his Tuna Tartar with fresh and dry tomato on salmorejo with citrus coca. The award consisted of the delivery of a diploma and the gift of a haute cuisine gastronomic experience for two at the Bruno Ruiz Aticcook restaurant.

Aehtma has awarded the best tapa, chosen by a technical jury, which this time has gone to the Casa Benjamín restaurant for its proposal The black pearl, a septonet and walnut croquette on dried tomato and beetroot coral with fenoll mari aioli. Its owners have received a commemorative plaque and the gift of a dinner, hotel night and breakfast at the hotel The Font d'Alcalà, in Alcalà de la Jovada.

500 euros thanks to Portal de la Marina

One more year, the Portal de la Marina Shopping Center has raffled a card worth 500 euros among the routers who completed the route, 40 tapas, through the App Rutappa. The winner was Rosa Mª Barber, who will be able to exchange the card in the shopping center's establishments.

The awards ceremony took place this Monday morning in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall of Dénia with the presence of the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the organizers of the Route, Frank and Manolo Martí, of GuíaME Comunicació, Diego Mena, representing the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma), Antonio Llopis, president of the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Dénia and Carlos Fita, director of the Portal de la Marina shopping center.
