The Plaza del Consell witnessed, once again, the start of the Moors and Christians festivities of Dénia with the festive proclamation, which this year was carried out by the member of the Deniers row and president of Levante UD Quico Catalán.

A festive told them these days «hay que darlo todo» and captains this year the mission entrusted to them that nobody is left without party. Catalan ended his speech with a poem in which he declared himself in love with the city of Dénia.

President of the Federation of Moors and Christians, Josele Maldonado, remarked in his speech that this is a «oportunidad única de estrechar lazos entre festeros y mayorales» permit thanks to «sentimiento de pertenencia a un colectivo».
