Compromís per Dénia calls for expensive test ITV withdraws

November 13 from 2014 - 08: 57

The spokesman for Compromís per Dénia denounces that the Technical Inspection of Vehicles is the most expensive in the Valencian Community and the Spanish state. Now, after knowing the report of the Generalitat itself in which the uselessness of the sonometry test is confirmed, which is the one that makes the service more expensive, he has requested that this test be withdrawn and that everyone stops paying more than what is required by law belongs

He has been the deputy spokesman Compromís, Fran Ferri, who has revealed the technical report of the Government which states that the noise emission test which increases ITV is useless and should be removed.

Sonometry test established by the Popular Party in the year 2004 is only mandatory for cars registered in the Valencia region. The existence of this test has caused Valencians cars can not pass the ITV stations outside of Valencia, as they could be fined, not having last sound measurement.

The review of noise emissions have a price of ten euros until April 2014, where the Consell has lowered almost three euros. The price of sound measurement joins the rest of the cost of ITV, so the mandatory inspection of vehicles in the Valencia region becomes more expensive, to place ourselves in recent years as autonomy which has been more expensive moment.

Through a parliamentary request for documentation, Ferri had access to the Technical report on the modification of rates of the ITV, which the Council applies since last April. In this report prepared by the Service of Quality and Industrial Control, Vehicles and Metrology of the Subdirectorate General of Industry, it is suggested the elimination of the sound emission test of the ITV.

The reason, according to this report to eliminate sound measurement is that of the studies conducted shows that the mechanical inspection of the ITV detects virtually the same amount that sound inspection defective vehicles. This means that vehicles have abnormal noise emission are already detected in the previous mechanical inspection.

According to the report, the Government itself acknowledges that in recent years have given 150 million euros to companies that manage ITV we have paid all Valencians.

Josep Crespo denounces that "There is growing evidence that what has been behind the establishment of sound measurement test was the intention of the Consell to benefit the most concessionaires of ITV. We are facing another business millionaire for a few, the Valencians have paid dearly and has seriously undermined the competitiveness of sectors such as transport, a scam more than the Popular Party government is not willing to cut once".
