Summer activities begin for the users of Condemados al Curco

One more year, Condenaados al Curzon starts the program Enjoying the Summer 2019 with the purpose of giving continuity during the summer period to the activities carried out during the year.

The main objective is to offer different activities to the group of functional diversity to promote their personal autonomy and give a small respite to their families.

The program is carried out in the months of July and August with the participation of more than 50 people with different abilities and ages, all of them users of the association, together with 30 volunteers and 9 workers.

The program offers the following activities:

• Team work: A group of more than 30 users will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the facilities of Llunàtics, donated by the City Council of Dénia, from 9 to 13.30h, where different adapted sports modalities will be practiced and activities will be carried out focused on developing manual and social skills .
• Football adapted: High level of participation and demand, but above all an extraordinary motivation, so it has been a classic among the activities of past summers. Many people from different fields and with very different levels of practice participate in this activity. It is held at the IES Maria Ibars facilities late in the afternoon, twice a week, and with a large number of volunteers.
• Bathrooms on the beach: In the mornings, a bathroom service will be offered for users who travel in a wheelchair with the help of the amphibious vehicles that have the beaches of Denia, specifically in the Punta del Raset, and with the collaboration of Red Cross Dénia.
• Individualized attention: During the summer the service of individualized attention continues, oriented to users with severe disability, a service that is provided throughout the year and in which specific rehabilitation techniques are carried out.
• Multisensory Room: One day a week will continue to enjoy users with very limited capabilities of the Multisensory Room of the City of Dénia.
• Summer camps: A three-day camp will be held at the Moraira Shelter and a weekend respite at Piles.

Different entities such as the City of Denia, the Marqués de Dos Aguas Foundation and several individuals participate and collaborate in this project.
