The construction of the hotel on the site occupied by the former Bar Mediterranean

This week the construction work of what will be a hotel overlooking the port in the middle of Marqués de Campo street, where the mythical Mediterranean Bar was located years ago, has started in Dénia. After removing the fencing from the area, two workers work on the foundations of what will be the construction.

Precisely this will be the first phase of the work, which must meet specific deadlines as it is in a conflictive place for traffic, especially in times of great influx of people such as fallas, Easter or summer. For this reason, the construction company has agreed with the Dénia urban planning department to paralyze the work on these dates to avoid causing inconvenience to neighbors and visitors.

The new building will consist of a ground floor with a local and a cafe and two floors that will house rooms and a terrace restaurant overlooking the harbor on the first floor.
