Dénia citizens bid to create a bus line for Montgó

A minibus with a circular route and with an hourly frequency to be determined. This is how it should be, for Citizens, the bus line that connects the center of Dénia with the streets of Montgó. His councilors, Mari Martínez and Sergio Benito, work on this proposal with the councilor for Security and Urban Mobility, the socialist Javier Scotto.

For the centrists, «la movilidad urbana es una red de servicios que eliminan la necesidad del coche y las bicicletas no son una opción mayoritaria para subir el Montgó como transporte». According to Benito, «es difícil valorar a priori el uso real que se le va a dar al servicio, ya que la mayoría de la población del Montgó es extranjera y ajena a los procesos de participación de la ciudad, sin embargo contamos con la Asociación de Vecinos del Montgó que sin duda nos ayudará a calibrar las necesidades».

Citizens expect from the concrete proposal within a few weeks, while recognizing that «es un reto enorme para una cuestión aparentemente tan sencilla, pero la actitud abierta de Scotto y nuestra firme voluntad nos anima a trabajar para conseguirlo».
