Citizens alert of possible floods around the Square of Archduke Carlos

February 15 from 2019 - 00: 14

The councilman and spokesman for Citizens in Dénia, Sergio Benito, has warned of the possibility of future flooding in the remodeled Archduke Carlos square caused by the effect that the new plaza will have on the high rise.

In the opinion of Benito, the construction of the new square has cut the natural evacuation of the water that was done by surface from Calle La Vía and Hermanos Ferchen, crossing the square towards Patricio Ferrandiz. Benito has warned that new scuppers have barely been arranged at that point and there will probably be significant flooding at that point, if measures are not taken "right now" to correct it.

They ask for the resignation of the councilor of territory

Three months after the end of the legislature, Benito himself has again asked for the resignation of the councilor of territory of the City of Dénia, Maria Josep Ripoll, for "Endeavor to push forward an absurd, suicidal approach to the coffers of the town hall in the form of compensation for declassifications, which does not even have the support of its own partners" in allusion to the PSPV and Compromís that also direct the Generalitat.

Benito makes these statements after the Department has answered the request for correction of errors that from the City of Dénia was made to the Transitory Urgent Urban Regulations (NUTU). Of all that proposed by the government team the Ministry has only considered changing the word "maximum" to "minimum" in a single sentence in which all the parties of the consistory had agreed, in contrast to all the rest that was strongly criticized and questioned in the full remission.
