Carmen Medina took the podium in the triathlon Vila

Several triathletes in the region were participating in the Triathlon VilaA test that attracted a total of 107 athletes.

The test was held at the Olympic distance with a first segment 1.852 meter swim, a bike second sector 54 kilometers and a third segment footrace of 10 kilometers.

Carmen Medina, an athlete from Cicles Desnivell, entered 89th place overall with a mark of 3:29:06. In the swim segment he did a time of 42:36. On the bike he lost some positions and made a partial of 1:56:01. In the running section on foot he consolidated his position and made a time of 48:08.

Medina took the podium as third classified in the category of Veteranas 1 behind Sanchez and Elena Fatima School.

For his part, another Dianense, David Ribes entered the 60th position of the general with a mark of 3:09:22. In the swimming segment he made a record of 40:37 leaving the sea in position 71.

In the bike segment he recovered eight positions and made the path with a time 1: 45.31. In the third quarter of running, positions continued to progress and score a mark of 40: 26.

The winner of this test was Víctor Benages CT Hurricane Valencia with a time of 2: 31: 40. The second place went to Andrés Alfaro CEA. Bétera a 1minuto and 18 seconds behind the winner. The podium was completed Gerardo Fermín CT Hurricane Valencia who entered 1 39 the first minute and classified.

In women the best was Eliana Sotelo CT Laboratory Sys with a time of 2: 58: 47. The second classified was, Miriam Muñoz on the same team with a record of 3: 00: 59. The podium was completed, Sandra Muñoz also the same club a mark of 3: 01: 20.
