Flooded roads and evacuations in Dénia after falling 100 liters / m2

13 March 2017 - 10: 58

Dénia has accumulated, at 10:39 am on Monday, more than 100 liters per square meter in 12 hours. The heavy rains that have fallen since Sunday night have flooded the roads that usually suffer from problems with the rains, such as Llavador, Gandía and Camí de la Bota. The Camí Fondo de La Xara, the Marineta Cassiana road, the Assagador de La Marjal and Carrer Melva have also been cut.

In addition, a wall has fallen on the Les Planes road, at the entrance to Dénia from Xàbia, which has caused material damage.

Also, after the 10: 30 hours, the Local Police has evicted students and teachers of the school of La Xara, since the water again seeps through the roofs and walls of this prefabricated center.

The orange alert is kept in Dénia all day Monday, which is expected the most problematic day of the week. For the time being, the Police has opened to traffic some roads closed by the plant as Marqués de Campo, Glorieta, Sagunto and Patricio Ferrándiz.
