Coronavirus outbreak in the Santa Llúcia residence in Dénia with 28 infections

January 09 from 2021 - 13: 13

The results of the COVID-19 detection tests carried out at the Santa Llúcia residence on all residents and staff members on Thursday, as a result of a positive case of a worker, have been more than negative. A total of 28 coronavirus positives have been detected: 18 among residents and 10 among staff. In addition, 21 other results are listed as "indeterminate", so the tests will be repeated in these cases today to confirm the result as soon as possible.

All residents with a positive result have already been informed of their diagnosis, as well as their families. At this time, the families of the non-positive are also being called to inform them of the situation.

A telephone number has been made available to all family members to answer any questions. Likewise, each and every worker already knows the information.

At the moment, all the people who have tested positive are asymptomatic.

The preventive protocol, which was already in place when the first case was detected, continues to be active: residents are isolated in their respective rooms and workers who have tested positive, as well as those pending confirmation, have already been Secluded from the service and confined at home.

The center is now waiting to receive confirmation from the Ministry of whether the vaccination of non-infected people can be carried out in the coming days, as planned.
