Baleària will present its eco-efficient fleet project at FITUR

January 12 from 2018 - 06: 25

The Baleària shipping company will be very present this year at FITUR, the International Tourism Fair held in Madrid from January 17 to 21.

In this edition, the company will take the opportunity to present the important investment it is making to renew its fleet and have more sustainable and eco-efficient ships. In this regard, it should be noted that the shipping company is building two smart ships powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and with capacity for more than 800 passengers, which will be the first ferries in the Mediterranean to sail with this clean fuel. In addition, it will announce the new series of four eco fast ferries that it has begun to incorporate into the connection between Eivissa and Formentera and with which it will complement a social responsibility project for the four vessels promoting sustainable tourism.

The general director of Business at Baleària, Víctor Terricabras, has stated that "This fair is a first level showcase to present the main projects we are working on, in our constant commitment to innovation and the search for excellence in service. Our goal is to ensure that all visitors to our stand, both professionals as individuals, want to live the experience of traveling with us ".

Activities to transfer the experience on board

Baleària will present these and other novelties in its stand, in which it will offer a complete program of activities and events to transfer the experience of sailing on board its ships. The site will have an 5D virtual reality module that will allow you to visualize the arrival by ferry to Eivissa. To show the entertainment options on board there will also be concerts and afterwork sessions of electronic music with renowned DJs of the national scene (collaborators of the Baleària Fun & Music program), along with magic shows and gastronomic exhibitions.
