CA Baleària Dianium athletes get good results in the Spanish Championships
There have been several events in the Spanish Championships attended by athletes from the Baleària Dianium Athletics Club in recent weeks.
On the one hand, this past weekend (March 25-26) Daniel Barrera, belonging to the U16 category, competed in the National Indoor Championship in Ourense, managing to occupy 14th place in the 60m sprint.
On Saturday morning the 60m sprint qualifiers took place, where Daniel had a very good race, getting a mark of 7.29, which is a personal best for Daniel. The first 3 of each series and the 4 best times qualified for the semifinals, and Daniel achieved 2nd position and direct qualification for the semifinals.
On Sunday morning the semifinal of the 60m sprint took place, where Daniel obtained a 7th place in his semifinal with a mark of 7.50, achieving the 14th position in the championship.
On the other hand, Damià Puigcerver participated in the Spanish Under 18 Indoor Track Championship held in Salamanca. This athlete from Dian was ranked 18th in the 60m sprint. The appointment was two weekends ago to which two athletes from CA Baleària Diànium had qualified, Damià Puigcerver Llorens in the 60m sprint and Pablo Negre Smedema 60m hurdles and the long jump.
Damià had the qualifying rounds on Saturday afternoon where he had a mark of 7.22, a very good record considering that he was only two places away from reaching the semifinals.
Pablo was finally unable to participate due to the inconvenience of the crash the previous week in the U18 Iberian Combined Test Tournament.
Finally, Víctor Fernández traveled to Toro (Zamora) to participate in the Spanish Master Cross Championship. The CA Baleària Diànium athlete participated in the M50 category, with a very high level, covering a distance of 6km. Víctor was in position 52 with a magnificent time of 22:44.
