Artists of the Special Section of Valencia Dénia speak about new technologies and failures

José Sanchís, who this year plants the failure of the Plaza del Pilar in Valencia; Pere Baenas, in charge of the Cuba-Literato Azorín falla that for several years has planted fallas in Dénia such as Diana, Saladar, París Pedrera or Oeste; and Alejandro Santaeulalia, the artist in charge this year of the Falla de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia, discussed last night in Dénia the arrival of new technologies in his workshops.

The talk, which was moderated by the presenter of Canal 9 Alejandro García, provided interesting insights into how much has changed the way of working of the Fallas artisans. The three artists conincidieron that it would be very difficult to return to work as 15 years, at a time when the predominant use of white cork and modeling in 3D.

New technologies have allowed expedite the work, staying very faithful to the original model and create much more spectacular and risky flaws that allow the committees reach their goal: win prizes.

The next talk will be on Thursday at 26 20 hours on the premises of Pòsit and will focus on the art of pyrotechnics.
