They start today the great days of Moors and Christians with a new beach landing

The Marineta Cassiana beach will be the scene of the arrival of the Moorish side to the Dianense coast tonight, which marks the beginning of the great days of the Moors and Christians festivities in honor of Sant Roc. For the first time the Moorish troops will reach the beach and the event will be held on the sand. And another novelty: it will be at midnight.

At 21:30 p.m., partygoers will gather at the beach road to share the so-called Camping Dinner. Then, at 23:59 p.m., the Moorish ranks, led by the 2015 captain, Mabel Buigues, and her standard-bearer, Vicente Buigues, from the Alkamar filà, are scheduled to arrive at the beach mounted on rowing boats. Along with them, the representatives of the rest of the filaes will arrive in other boats to sign the truce with the Christians.

At the foot of the beach, the Christian captain, Salvador Gil, and his standard-bearer, MªJosé López, from the Guerrers Hospitalaris line, will be waiting for you, sheltered by the Christian soldiers. Torches and live music will set the mood for the arrival of the Moors and the signing of the truce, which will take place on a small set-up stage. The ambassadors will take the floor to express their wishes to live together in peace in the days to come.

Following the signing of the truce will continue the party on the beach to announce that the Moors and Christians have already reached the city.
