VIII kicks off Dénia Boat Show with a large number of people

The VIII Nautical Hall of Denia opened its doors on the morning of Friday 1 in May to the expectation of thousands of people who these days have approached the city to enjoy the activities scheduled around the nautical marina in Dénia Marina .

The sailor Álex Pella was in charge of opening the show with the director of Marina de Dénia, Gabriel Martínez, and the mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe. In this room the doors are not closed to anyone, it is aimed at all types of audiences, children, teenagers, people looking to buy or rent a boat and for the exhibitors it is also a very nice event. Gabriel Martinez, for his part, explained that the contest has been structured in three facets, "all equally important". The first, dedicated to attract children to the sea, with different activities. "More than 600 children have participated in a drawing contest and are going to embark on a catamaran to learn more about the San Antonio Cape Marine Reserve. We also want young people to understand that sailing is not only these wonderful boats, but that is paddle surfing, rowing or canoeing, and that everyone can have access to nautical. And, third, take care of the exhibitors and generate business. We are working so that the public that comes is the one who wants to buy or rent boats ".

Among the activities scheduled for this Saturday, the sailor Álex Pella give a lecture to 11 hours in the building of Captaincy Marina de Denia in which he will talk about his victory in the last edition of the Route du Rhum and its future challenges.

In addition, during the three days of living they have organized a series of workshops dedicated to children where they will learn, among other things, to tie knots sailors. New this year, the little ones can also learn to cook in a course to be held on Saturday, 10 to 14 hours.

For those who want to know the form of fashion, Paddle Surf throughout the day you can enjoy and discover this sport. Daily rowing and canoeing courses will also be held.

One of the more public activities that brought in last year's show, exhibition dogs Newfoundland Salvage, will be repeated this year, on Sunday at 12 hours. The event also hosts an exhibition on underwater photography.
