Aqualia rewards the ideas to reuse the wastewater of five dianenses schoolchildren

The Aqualia company has awarded five finalists from Dénia as finalists in their Digital Children's Contest organized on the occasion of World Water Day. The works presented by the young students have been among the best of the XV edition of this contest in which more than 8.500 children from Spain and Portugal participated.

The winners, who have received an underwater camera as a prize, have been Lena Llobell Andrades, from CEIP Montgó; Andrés López Vicens, from the Paidos school; Shaila Lucas Montaner, from La Xara school; Igor Marcilla Fullana, from the Maristas school and Pepe Masanet Escuder, from Pou de la Muntanya.

The head of the Municipal Water Service, Isidro Sánchez, explained that «The intention was to ensure that children, through their creativity, could learn about the path that water follows from when it is used in our homes until it is returned to the environment once purified and how wastewater can be reused for various uses , creating your own sustainable planet».

For the councilor of education, Rafa Carrió, «Making these values ​​known through drawing and new technologies is a good way to do it». The Environment Councilor, Josep Crespo, was also present at the awards ceremony, held at the Dénia City Council.
