The twelve towns that currently belong to the Riuraus Route - Jesús Pobre, Benissa, Gata de Gorgos, EATIM de La Xara, Llíber, Ondara, Parcent, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Pedreguer, Teulada-Moraira, Xàbia and Xaló -, They rely on this initiative to launch and position the Marina Alta brand as a tourist unit through rural tourism.

Dénia, which together with El Verger and Orba studies its incorporation to this route, would thus form part of the itinerary for the participating populations in which, in addition to visiting the typical constructions of the elaboration of the pass, other architectural elements may be known , Cultural or gastronomic of the region.

At the last meeting held by the participants of the route, it was decided to endow this union among municipalities with legal personality in the form of an association. In addition, a web page will be managed, social networks will be enhanced and an application for mobile devices will be created that will allow users to access useful information about the route and the nearby places of interest in each population.

Also, this application will be open to companies in the region as a platform to offer products and leisure packages.

Javier Scotto, mayor of the municipality promoting the initiative, Jesús Pobre, explained that "It is intended to work for the vertebration of the Marina Alta through its rural heritage, recover its identity, position the region as a tourist unit."
