The city council has "excess" 80.000 euros of social aid

A total of 134 applications were those submitted by citizens to qualify for social assistance for payment of property tax increases and the rate of garbage. If the government team had budgeted 100.000 euros for the aid, only 20.000 will be spent to meet the applications submitted.

Socialist councilors Cristina Morera and Vicenta Bixquert recalled that for now the PP-CU have already dropped 40.000 euros of the 100.000 budgeted for these social aid in the last modification of credits. According to Morera, this is due to the fact that the PP-CU bases are only intended to help pay the tax increase, not the tax as a whole.

Bixquert government team proposed to allocate the surplus 80.000 euros of aid to social welfare, and pointed to the adequacy of housing of Cervantes as social emergency housing without having to wait for the approval of the budgets of 2013.
